Flash Controller

An Upwork client engagement — a custom controller board built around timing-critical flash sequencing, with the bench work done over a few weeks in May and June 2024.

The brief was a small, well-defined controller: a custom PCB that drives a flash / lighting load with precise timing, with the host interface and the trigger logic handled in firmware. The work covered schematic, layout, prototype bring-up, and the first firmware revision.

The build went through a couple of bench iterations in close loop with the client — capture, review, adjust. The result was a board that hit the timing window on the first end-to-end test and a firmware version that was easy for the client to extend.

This is one of the more representative client engagements in the portfolio: tight scope, fast iteration, and a clean handoff.
